Our Service is conveniently located in the heart of Lara, which is a short drive from Geelong and Bacchus Marsh. Story House Early Learning Lara is a growing service in a developing country community. Being part of a rural town, we have many opportunities and are able to embrace all that it has to offer from its natural resources and environments.

We also have the amazing scenic views of the You Yangs, and are able to use the close proximity of local parks and the bush that surrounds us for tremendous opportunities to teach our children all that is on offer within their community. Our aim is to provide a nurturing, safe and happy environment for all children and families who attend our service. Our flexible learning environments give the children the chance to develop within play spaces where they can feel safe, secure and develop a sense of belonging whilst they are on their educational journey.

The educators really care about the kids. Everyone knows her by name, including educators not in her room. They also know her particular likes. I have a chat with the staff when I drop her off and pick her up and they clearly care. She taken time to adjust to a new centre but in the last week she’s been happy to wander off and play or go and sit with an educator when I leave.

Story House Early Learning Lara, Both my 2 sons (3 and 1) have been with the centre since they were in the gummy shark room. The team at SHEL have been an amazing support to our family. We have had amazing educators for both our boys that have helped support them to grow, learn and play in a safe environment. Our eldest son was half deaf and our youngest highly allergic to dairy and had hip dysplasia. The team at SHEL Lara looked after our boys and still do with amazing care. We could not recommend the centre and amazing team any more highly. We love SHEL Lara and look forward to seeing our boys go through kindergarten with the team.

Everyone at Story House Lara makes my daughters day special and we are thankful for always putting in the extra effort for her.

Tania is our Lara Service Manager. She has worked with families and children for over 27 years with previous experience in hospitality and early childhood combined that gives her that extra quality in communications and nurturing children and families.

Tania has been working in childcare for 5 years and has a Diploma of Early Learning . Tania is well known in our community and proud to share our amazing service with them. Our children enjoy their community walks to our local parks, excursions days and enjoy exploring our home like environment and embracing in our multicultural community. Tania’s passion is to ensure all staff who she works alongside are mentored and nurtured to become the most successful professional within their sector.

Tania has 2 teenage boys and a French Bulldog named Captain. Tania enjoys going to the gym, walking, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Her favourite AFL team is Collingwood. Tania is committed to providing each and every child in her care with an enriching learning environment that caters to their individual needs and helps them to learn, play and grow in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Tania’s most inspired and number one achievement in life are her two sons. They give her inspiration to be the best person and become a great role model.
