Laura Troiano

Laura is our Keilor downs Service Manager. Laura has been working in the Early Childhood Sector for the past 7 years and has been working at Story House Keilor downs for 5 years. Laura has experience in all ages as she started off as a casual, then into an assistant educator’s role working her way up to a room leader, 2IC and now the Service Leader for Story House Keilor Downs which she is so excited and proud of.

Laura holds a Bachelor of Early Childhood and primary teaching but loves the early years sector and thrives seeing young children growing and learning in their classrooms environments. Laura is passionate about children always coming first and their needs being met. As a Service Leader she loves going into the classroom and getting involved in the experiences with the children. It brings Laura great joy to see the children happy and learning through play.

What inspires Laura at work is the children and the strong relationships she has with their families. Keilor downs as a team ensure that all children and families have a sense of belonging when they step foot through the doors. Together we believe community is an important part of a child’s learning journey and we work hard on inclusiveness for all families and children.

Outside of work Laura enjoys taking ‘you time’ for herself and loves putting on makeup and playing around with it. It makes Laura feel good and happy when putting make up on. She is always around Family and friends which always puts a smile on her face, which spending the time with them always create a positive mindset for Laura.

There's so much on offer for your little one

Your child will develop key skills and learn all about life, the world, and themselves through a host of fun and active educational programs. They’ll learn through play, dance programs, natural play, and through a range of fun excursions. We regularly have community guests visit us at our centre to teach us new things. We’re big on providing cultural comfort in our centre. Where we can and when appropriate, we’ll chat with your little one in their home language and our meals are created fresh each day, with their cultural requirements in mind — as well as their dietary requirements.

Pick something up to make your little one look the part.

Take a look at the Story House Early Learning Shop. With T-shirts, bucket hats, and stationery available, your little one can look the part – in a range of fun colours, too!
