Learning About Fire Safety at Story House Maitland

Fire brigade visit to childcare centre
In collaboration with our local fire service, the preschool children of Story House Maitland have been leaning about fire safety.

Visiting fire fighters demonstrated to children how to respond if there is a fire.

The children practised getting down low and go, go, going when they hear the smoke alarm.

The children were taught the emergency number and shown what a fire fighter looks like in full uniform.

The whole centre was excited to see the fire truck in our carpark, with the preschool children allowed to use the siren and the hose.
