Story House Early Learning Doreen, service manager Renee smiling.

Renee Vance

Renee is our Doreen Service Manager. Renee always loved the responsibility and reward that came with caring and teaching children. Renee knew from a very young age that she had a passion for working within the early childhood sector. Once completing high school, Renee completed her diploma and with lots of hard work and dedication working as an educator for 6 years, she developed her skills to become a Service Manager, and has been in the management role for over 10 years now.

Renee is extremely passionate about offering a successful early learning centre that provides the opportunity to influence and shape the lives of young children and their families. Renee believes offering children a positive, caring, and fun environment will help guide our little people to become confident and successful adults. Renee tends to take an open leadership approach in which she encourages her team to come together and collaborate to make decisions. Renee believes that it is always important to show trust and respect to all colleagues, providing lots of encouragement and praise, she’s always approachable as she believes everyone’s opinions and beliefs need to be heard and respected.

At Story House Doreen we believe it’s very important for children and educators to get to know the broader community, by giving both children and educators the opportunity to attend excursions and incursions. Family involvement and input is extremely important, as no one knows their children better than you do, so by supporting our families to have an input in their learning is a big focus in her service.

Renee’s two beautiful children inspire her every day, not only do they inspire her to be a better person, but they inspire her become a better leader, to be more creative, to explore more and to have a sense of humour. Since having children they have opened her eyes to see the world differently which helps her understand and appreciate life itself and all the little things it has to offer. Renee enjoys going to the gym and living an active lifestyle by being outdoors and spending time with family and friends, as she believes being positive, active and looking after yourself will influence a more positive and much happier environment.
